Dear reader,
As I sit writing this open letter, it is early October 2025. In less than two weeks' time, I will have been running this business for 28 years – firstly as Lawrie Green Education (LGE), then as PFL and more recently in the full form of that, Preparation For Life. I like using the full name because it accurately depicts what we are here to do for you as a student (or for your child if you are a parent or sponsor reading this).
I have been in the industry nearly 30 years in total and my company has been a pioneer in so many different ways over several continents and several decades. But we are not done with our pioneering just yet!
Why this iteration of the business
- We have a centralised conversion team who are experienced and accountable for extremely high service and conversion rates.
- We have dedicated counsellors who are only there to talk about your specific needs and will work with you on bespoke education solutions.
- We do not expect you to live near a Preparation For Life office. So long as you have access to the internet, we can and will help you.
- We do not limit ourselves to any particular institution or destination country — we pass on great opportunities wherever they are, so long as they are in our students' best interests.
Our slogan was carefully selected: we place students first. To say this honestly, we have stopped accepting any direct institutional marketing support. We stand on our own two feet by providing you with first-class service that you can count on.
In short, our job is to work with each student to determine your primary requirements and offer the solutions we think fit best — whilst telling you why. We are here to serve individuals, communities, countries and the educational world. I stand ready to serve you.
